Client:

Presenting challenge:
This company had a group of peer-level individual contributors who were ready to develop their leadership skills as the company grew. Additionally, the company was initially set up in too flat a way to offer real opportunities for advancement for its best and brightest.
Desired outcome:
A development mindset across the culture that would encourage mentoring and advancing all employees throughout the firm. Additionally, the client needed a way to provide leadership opportunities to those that were ready.
Leadership Landing intervention:
Using our proprietary Five Attributes of Great Leaders 360 assessment and a series of focus groups and interviews, we determined that the client would benefit by significantly changing its organizational structure. Accordingly, the client formed a new team of functional senior leaders. We continue to provide leadership coaching on a one-on-one basis with the team members.
Results:
Over the last two years, this senior leadership team has taken on responsibility for talent management across the firm, key elements of strategic planning and establishing the firm’s succession planning at the highest levels. As a result, the firm now has a team of senior leaders who serve at the go-to team for everyone, from firm’s most senior executives to the most junior new hires. Members of this team continue to hone their leadership skills, not only as key leaders, but as critical thought partners with one another and the company owners.
